Keep it in bounds
- Only bet money you can afford to lose. Set a budget before the slate starts and stop when it is spent.
- Decide your unit size ahead of time and keep it the same win or lose. Never raise stakes to win back losses.
- Take breaks, and do not bet when you are upset, tired or drinking.
- Use the deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion tools your sportsbook offers.
Warning signs
- Betting more than you planned, or more often than you planned.
- Chasing losses or borrowing money to bet.
- Hiding betting from family or friends, or feeling anxious when you are not betting.
